GLP-1s

Glucagon-like peptide agonists are a class of medications used to treat type II diabetes & approved for use in weight loss management

Most effectively given in the form of a weekly injection, GLP-1 medications prompt your body to produce more insulin & reduce the secretion of glucagon - resulting in improved blood sugar management.

They also impact the rate at which your stomach empties. When the pace at which food moves from the stomach to the small intestine is modified, this prevents rapid spikes in blood sugar levels after meals.

When GLP medications are used in conjunction with dietary changes and exercise they can result in significant weight loss

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are intended for weight loss in adults with qualifying BMIs.

**GLP-1s are not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of pancreatitis, kidney disease, gallbladder problems, digestive disorders or a personal or family history of thyroid tumors**

In order to be cleared for Semaglutide or Tirzepatide you’ll need lab work and a telehealth with one of our providers. Send us a message and we will walk you through the whole process!
